Snyder joins Cineflix to bolster doc development

International producer-distributor Cineflix Media has appointed former Jigsaw Productions exec Dave Snyder (pictured) as its new VP of development.

International producer-distributor Cineflix Media has appointed former Jigsaw Productions exec Dave Snyder (pictured) as its new VP of development.

Based out of the company’s New York office, Snyder will work closely with Charles Tremayne, president of production, to further expand Cineflix’s documentary and factual formats slate. He will report to the recently appointed executive VP of development, Dave Hamilton.

Snyder previously served as VP of development and production at the Alex Gibney-owned prodco, where he was charged with overseeing cable and digital media projects while developing such TV series as Amazon Studios’ The New Yorker Presents and CNN’s Death Row Stories.

The exec’s TV credits also include serving as showrunner, director, and producer on a range of programs that include the recently re-launched Explorer series on National Geographic Channel; MTV’s World of Jenks; and Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

“Dave has a great track record of developing the premium content our network partners are asking for, as well as a wealth of experience creating and producing formats,” said Glen Salzman, Cineflix co-founder and co-CEO,  in a statement. “His proven ability to work successfully across an array of genres makes Dave a real asset in Cineflix’s plans for growth.”
