FYI Development Lab returns to Realscreen Summit

A+E’s FYI network is once again teaming up with the Realscreen Summit to present another edition of its Development Lab, which offers development deals of up to US$20,000 to winning producers.

This year, only submissions from companies that have yet to have a commissioned pilot or series with FYI will be eligible. Producers must submit a two-to-five minute video pitch and a series paper pitch, along with a one-to-three minute video sample of their company’s work.

Five winners will be selected and then revealed during a special session at the Realscreen Summit on Monday, February 1, 2016.

The contest is open to registered delegates to the Realscreen Summit, who are permanent legal residents of the U.S. and are 18 years or older. Full contest rules can be downloaded here.

Last year’s winners (pictured above) included: Tom Leach of Media RED; Joel McGee of Monkey Time Media; Nina Joseph of Boulevard 17 Productions; Peter Marks of Peter Marks Productions; and Jason Cornwell and Damon Collazo of Smartmonkey Productions. They were chosen out of a pool of 75 applicants.
