Talpa makes MCN push with 100 YouTube channels

The ITV-owned producer has expanded its digital footprint with the launch of more than 100 YouTube channels, including The Voice Global.

ITV-owned Talpa Media has expanded its digital footprint with the launch of more than 100 YouTube channels.

Talpa recently launched The Voice Global YouTube channel, which offers a collection of the most memorable performances from The Voice and The Voice Kids worldwide. Since its launch, the channel has accumulated 18,190 subscribers and more than 3.8 million views. The Voice and The Voice Kids have more than 14 million subscribers on YouTube combined.

The Voice first aired in the Netherlands in 2010. The long-running format has since been developed into 65 local productions and airs in more than 180 territories worldwide.

UK broadcaster ITV recently outbid the BBC to acquire the British format on a three-year term beginning in 2017. ITV also signed a three-season commitment for an ITV2 spin-off show, and a two-series contract for The Voice Kids.

ITV completed its £355 million (US$531.7 million) acquisition of Talpa Media earlier this year.
