Twofour appoints head of new formats

ITV-owned Twofour Group has named former BBC exec Ana De Moraes (pictured) as its head of new formats.

In her new post, De Moraes will be responsible for driving The Chopping Block producer’s fact-ent slate in the UK and abroad. She will report to chief creative officer Andrew Mackenzie when she boards the company in February.

De Moraes most recently served as creative director for development central at UK pubcaster BBC, where she was charged with enhancing collaborations across all genres and developing series across all non-scripted genres, including Tomorrow’s Food for BBC1.

Prior to joining the BBC, the exec served as director of development at London-based producer Twenty Twenty, where she developed such popular series as BBC2′s BAFTA-winning The Choir, BBC3′s Emmy-winning The World’s Strictest Parents and Channel 4′s First Dates, which is currently being adapted for the U.S. and other territories.
