Scripps Networks Interactive-owned Cooking Channel is going in search of the best beach cuisine this summer with chef and author Katie Lee (pictured).

In the BSTV Entertainment-produced Beach Bites with Katie Lee (6 x 30 minutes), the American presenter will travel around the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean to scope out beach-side restaurants and canteens and their signature dishes. Some of the locations featured in the program include Miami and Key West, Florida; Isla Verde, Puerto Rico; and Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

The series premieres on June 2 at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST.

“Whether it is recipes that have been handed down for generations, coastal canteens serving up satisfying bar bites or snacks with a twist using local ingredients, Katie Lee is the perfect tour guide for this flavorful voyage to some of the most beautiful beaches,” said Didi O’Hearn, senior VP of programming for Food Network and Cooking Channel, in a statement.
