LA- and London-based formats company Small World IFT has secured a development deal for its stunt series Super Combat Teams (pictured) with Hollywood-based producer Smart Dog Media.
Under the deal, the Minute to Win It producer will develop the competition series for the U.S. market.
The series, which was originally produced by China’s Jiangsu Broadcasting for Jiangsu Satellite Channel, sees contestants battling through five challenges and stunts that include “Quantum Leap of Parkour,” “Fly Over Cars,” “Blind Arrow Snatch” and “BMX Wheels of Terror” to prove themselves the best.
Contenders include world champions, long-time rivals and small town novices with athletic skills.
The primetime stunt competition combines a studio-based talent show with multi-platform interaction by allowing audiences to guess the result of each challenge in real time via an interactive app. Cash prizes are handed out to viewers that predict the correct winners.
Small World IFT is handling the international distribution rights to the series – excluding Germany and China.
