A+E Networks-owned lifestyle channel FYI has greenlit home property series Prefabulous (working title) from Los Angeles-based studio Vox Entertainment, Vox Media’s programming and development division.
The 8 x 30-minute series will focus on the American real estate market’s burgeoning trend of prefabricated homes. Each episode of the series will follow an individual or family as they set about constructing their high-end, fully customizable and affordable pre-fab home.
Production on Prefabulous is slated to begin immediately.
Curbed, Vox Media’s real estate and home brand, will partner with FYI to provide editorial, creative and promotional elements for the series.
“We want audiences to connect with Vox Media brands wherever they are – across every platform and device they are using – that includes websites, social and mobile platforms, live events, text, video, audio, and now in our first extension to television with FYI,” said Marty Moe, president of Vox Media and Vox Entertainment, in a statement.
“FYI was the first network to capture the cultural phenomenon of downsizing and living tiny with Tiny House Nation and now we’ll delve into another millennial-facing home trend with pre-fab living,” added FYI executive VP and GM Paul Greenberg.
