Discovery Channel is looking to an expert homesteader to teach families how to live off-the-grid in its latest series, Homestead Rescue (pictured).

Produced by Raw Television, the series profiles Marty Raney and his family as they help others learn how to survive in the wilderness. Together with his daughter Misty, a farmer, and son Matt, a hunter and fisherman, the family teaches such basics as growing food, finding water and harnessing power.

Each week, Homestead Rescue will find the Raneys visiting a new family and working closely with them to help their homestead in such areas as hunting, fishing, building maintenance, gardening and protection.

Executive producers for Raw include Mike Griffiths, Sam Maynard and Dimitri Doganis, while for Discovery, Matthew Vafiadis is exec producing and Meagan Davis is producing.
