Exclusive: Evolution ups McCarthy to VP of production

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills producer Evolution Media has promoted Brian McCarthy (pictured) to the role of VP of production.

In his new post, the exec – who previously served as executive in charge of current – will help to manage the Burbank, California-based producer’s slate of productions. He will report directly to Douglas Ross, founder and CEO of Evolution, and Alex Baskin, executive VP of programming and development and partner.

McCarthy previously co-exec produced such Evolution series as Vanderpump Rules (Bravo), Like a Boss (Oxygen), Bravo Uncensored (Bravo), Vanderpump Rules Aftershow (Bravo) and the forthcoming Oklahoma City (Bravo, working title).

Before joining the company, he served as co-executive producer on several seasons of the Style Network series Jerseylicious and as a producer on the spin-off, Chicagolicious. McCarthy has also helped to produce such formats as Ocean Force (truTV), Wipeout (ABC), Sports Science (Fox) and Fear Factor (NBC).

Evolution most recently produced Like a Boss(Oxygen), along with the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo) and second season of Botched (E!).

Upcoming productions include the Botched spin-off Botched by Nature (E!), the 11th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo) and Oklahoma City.
