44 Blue taps Laura Gibson for development role

The former Endemol Shine North America and ITV Studios UK exec (pictured) has joined the Wahlburgers producer as VP of development.

Laura Gibson (pictured) has joined Wahlburgers producer 44 Blue Productions as VP of development.

She previously served as VP of development and unscripted programming for Endemol Shine North America, where she worked on an NBC dance series with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum, Hunted for CBS, Almost Impossible Game Show for MTV and docuseries and formats for Spike, TLC and Bravo. 

Prior to that, Gibson helped to launch Andrew O’Connor‘s AOC Productions as head of development. She began her career in the UK as a showrunner for indies such as Monkey Kingdom, Objective and Lion TV. She has headed up entertainment development at Princess Productions UK, led unscripted development at both Roughcut TV UK and Zeppotron UK, and recently served as creative director of comedy entertainment at ITV Studios in the UK.

44 Blue currently has more than 20 projects in production, including Pit Bulls & Parolees for Animal Planet, Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry for E! and a series about transgender models for Oxygen that is being co-produced by Whoopi Goldberg’s One Ho Productions.
