WE tv has greenlit a reality series about a Brooklyn soul food restaurant.

Produced by Big Fish Entertainment, Hustle & Soul (six x 60 minutes) follows chef Lawrence Page as he sets out to make the Pink Tea Cup restaurant the first soul food restaurant to receive a Michelin Star while dealing with in-fighting, power moves and love triangles among staff.

The restaurant operated for 55 years before closing in 2009. Page took over from the previous owner and reopened a year later in a new location.

The series will premiere early in 2017.

Dan Cesareo, Ken Martinez and George McTeague are executive producing. Kim Osorio serves as co-exec producer and the exec producers for WE tv are David Stefanou and Lauren Lazin.

Other recent WE tv greenlights include the plastic surgery series Dr. Miami and Million Dollar Matchmaker, which premiered in July.
