Bacon joins Wall to Wall as head of factual development

The Warner Bros-owned London-based production company has hired BBC exec Lucy Bacon (pictured) to lead development of its factual slate.

UK producer Wall to Wall has hired former BBC senior development lead Lucy Bacon (pictured) as head of factual development.

Bacon, who previously worked in the British pubcaster’s in-house development central unit, will generate and develop projects across the Warner Bros-owned production company’s factual slate, which spans factual entertainment, features, specialist factual and documentaries. Prior to joining the BBC, Bacon lead Endemol UK Limited as its head of of factual development, and also had stints at Shine TV, Princess Productions and Optomen Television in increasingly senior roles.

She began working at the company this month. Meanwhile, Rob White, who joined Wall to Wall from Plum Pictures last year, will work with head of international Jeremy Dear with a focus on expanding the producer’s presence in the U.S. market.

Upcoming Wall to Wall factual titles include the BBC’s Back In Time franchise,The SlumVictorian Bakers and Victorian Bakers at Christmas, and the pubcaster’s long-running Who Do You Think You Are?; as well as National Geographic’s Drugs/Underworld Inc and ITV’s Long Lost Family.
