Entertainment One (eOne) has inked a first-look deal with filmmaker and producer Datari Turner (pictured).

The global entertainment studio has already been working with Turner on the WE tv reality series Growing Up Hip Hop, which enters its second season in October.

Under the deal, the two parties will co-develop and produce unscripted programming through Turner’s Datari Turner Productions banner.

In addition to Growing Up Hip Hop, his credits include the WE tv reality series Love Thy Sister and 20 indie feature films, including Another Happy Day, Salvation Boulevard, Luv and Ten Thousand Saints. He has also produced more than 50 hours of TV programming for nets such as BET, TV One, Starz and Oxygen.

EOne has recently ramped up production on alternative television: the company also signed an first-look deals with Chopped producers Cleve Keller and Dave Noll and reality producer Chris Deaux and Two Fifteen West Entertainment, as well as a multi-year deal with Matt Anderson and Nate Green’s Purveyors of Pop.
