London-based distributor Argonon International has hired former Fox exec Jess Khanom (pictured) for the newly created role of managing director.

She was most recently global head of formats for Fox Networks Channels and 20th Century Fox, where she launched the company’s formats division and led the scripted formats team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Khanom will take on the role effective in October.

Prior to joining Fox in January, she worked in international sales for Warner Bros and in format sales for Warner-owned producer Shed Media.

The distributor is part of the five-year-old super-indie Argonon Group, which formed following a merger between transatlantic prodco Leopard Films and UK indie Remedy Productions. Its roster of producers includes Cascade, Windfall Films, BriteSpark Films, Transparent Television, The Bridge and Blacklisted Films.
