Channel 4 documentary commissioner Anna Miralis is leaving the UK pubcaster to join Wall to Wall as head of factual, a newly created position.
Miralis will join the Warner Bros-owned producer in March and will focus on developing new series aimed at UK broadcasters in addition to overseeing existing shows. She will report to Wall to Wall CEO Leanne Klein.
She joined C4 in 2010 from Australia’s SBS. Her credits include series Posh Pawn, Secret Life of the Zoo and British Army Girls and docs such as Paedophile Hunter, Dogging Tales, Gypsy Blood and Secrets of the Living Dolls. She also oversaw returning series such as The Supervet, 24 Hours in A&E and Secret Life of 4 and 5 Year Olds.
“After, almost, seven amazing years commissioning at Channel 4, and over 20 years working for broadcasters, I’m finally taking the plunge to join the indie world,” Miralis said in a statement. “Leanne and her team at Wall to Wall have one of the best reputations in the industry and I’m really excited about joining them and building on their slate of factual television.”
