Kristen Dotto, formerly senior director of development at Maverick Television USA, has been tapped as VP of development at Stranded with a Million Dollars producer Tollbooth TV.

In the new role, Dotto (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing the Toluca Lake, Calif.-based prodco’s existing development slate. She will report directly into company founder and executive producer Kevin Lee.

At Maverick, Dotto led the development of VH1′s Shaunie’s Home Court and TLC’s She’s in Charge.

Founded by Lee in 2007 after creating Spike’s non-fiction series Murder, Tollbooth is focused on creating high-concept formats and ensemble docuseries. Most recently, the California shop has produced MTV’s social experiment series Stranded with a Million Dollars and TLC’s comedic docuseries Coach Charming. The company has also developed and produced a raft of content for such broadcasters as Spike TV, E!, VH1 and Food Network.
