Turner realigns Southeast Asia strategy

Turner’s Asia-Pacific plans are evolving with the creation of a new Southeast Asia organization based out of Singapore, where Vishal Dembla will serve as VP and GM.

The launch of Turner Southeast Asia sees the company align its regional efforts under Dembla (pictured), who will oversee all commercial lines including ad sales and content sales.

Dembla will also manage brand-building efforts in the region, leading programming, marketing departments and creative services for Turner’s entertainment channels, including CNN International and Warner TV in Southeast Asia. The team will also handle the network distribution side of the business.

Previously, Dembla served as head of Turner’s distribution and content sales for Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. His expanded geographical remit now also includes Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
