The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has brought on Josie Mason-Campbell in the role of head of non-scripted production.

Reporting to the director of television, Mason-Campbell will be responsible for ABC TV’s factual, entertainment, arts and events slates. The position was previously held by Brendan Dahill, who left the role last year to become MD of Keo Films’ Australian outpost.

Mason-Campbell currently holds the position of production and development at Foxtel. She joined the company in 2013, and was instrumental in the production of Foxtel’s non-scripted slate including Gogglebox, The Great Australian Bake off and Coast Australia along with the upcoming original productions Unchartered with Sam Neill, Local Justice, The Archibald and Gene-Pool Productions, Lawless.

“I look forward to collaborating with our innovative independent production sector as well as the ABCs talented internal team to make quality, diverse and engaging television for all Australians,” said Mason-Campbell in a statement.

ABC managing director, Michelle Guthrie  and ABC director of television, Richard Finlayson, confirmed the appointment. Finlayson is scheduled to leave ABC in March. No replacement has been announced.
