ITV America has secured an exclusive production deal with Jared Hoffman and Chris Pollack’s newly minted Forge Media.
Under the deal, Hoffman and Pollack will develop a mix of scripted and unscripted projects under the ITV America banner for broadcast across network, cable and digital platforms. The company will focus its unscripted sights on the genres of comedy, gaming and lifestyle.
Hoffman and Pollack will continue to serve as executive producers on their currently-airing series, which include truTV’s Upscale with Prentice Penny, NFL Network’s Madden America and El Rey’s Man at Arms: Art of War, slated for a summer release.
In addition, joining Forge Media will be Jay Judah as VP of development and Gabrielle Utsey as coordinator of production and development.
“Chris and Jared have spent years bringing their deep bench of creativity to so many areas of our industry – from branded entertainment to film and TV,” said ITV Entertainment president David Eilenberg, who will manage the ITV America/Forge Media partnership, in a statement. “Our goal is to support them, give them what they need, and watch them soar in what we are confident will be a great partnership.”
Hoffman and Pollack have previously co-created and exec produced The Help Desk with Gotham Chopra, which became one of the first series to transition from YouTube to television when it was picked up by OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
The pair have also developed and produced series and specials for Showtime, Netflix, Comedy Central, MTV, Disney Channel, TBS, CW, IFC, TBS, Hulu, Lifetime, Fox, ABC, FX, Go90 and Fuse.
“It’s been liberating creatively to have been able to expand our professional roles further into the producing space over the past several years, and we’re beyond thrilled to take the natural next step in our careers in launching Forge Media,” added Hoffman and Pollack. “We can’t think of a better place than ITV America to embark on this journey. Their reach, resources and creative support is the perfect home for what we want to do and the content we plan to make.”
ITV America’s EVP of business development and international Edward Simpson brokered the deal.
Forge Media is repped by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.
