FremantleMedia Mexico has elevated Coty Cagliolo, formerly VP of development for U.S. Hispanic, Mexico and pan-regional, to the post of managing director.

In the expanded leadership role, Cagliolo (pictured) will be tasked with overseeing daily operations and driving the strategic vision of the business while also developing content for the Mexican and Pan-regional market.

She reports into Sangeeta Desai, FremantleMedia’s COO and CEO of emerging markets, and will continue to be based in Mexico City.

Cagliolo joined FremantleMedia Mexico’s ranks as creative director in 2013 before rising to VP of development across the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic regions. Prior to this, she served as creative director and director of content at Endemol in Argentina.

FremantleMedia Mexico has produced more than 550 hours of content in 2017 for Mexico-based and pan-regional LatAm networks via commissions or as a producer for hire. The company’s unscripted content stable currently includes TV Azteca’s Cocineros Mexicanos (Mexican Cooks) and México Tiene Talento (Mexico’s Got Talent); and Televisa’s 100 Mexicanos Dijieron (Family Feud).

“The Latin American markets continue to be a key focus for FremantleMedia and with Coty’s drive, experience and strong relationships throughout Mexico we’re in a good position to explore growth opportunities in the region,” said Desai in a statement.
