YouTube has set a premiere date for its music competition series hosted by Grammy Award-winning rapper Ludacris.
Best.Cover.Ever., which premieres Nov. 20, pits aspiring musicians against one another as they compete to perform the best cover of an established artist’s song.
The winner is then given the opportunity to perform a duet with the artist, to be aired on YouTube. Viewers will be able to witness the process of the performance coming to fruition.
The previously announced YouTube Original series is produced by Endemol Shine North America, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Columbia Records, with Ryan Seacrest, Ludacris, Rob Smith, Georgie Hurford-Jones, Marilyn Wilson, Teri Kennedy, Brian Nolan and Lee Stimmel serving as executive producers.
Artists Demi Lovato, Katy Perry, Keith Urban, Backstreet Boys and Flo Rida are set to make appearances.
“Music has had such a massive impact on who I am today, so I am pumped that through hosting and executive producing our new YouTube Original Best.Cover.Ever., we can give emerging talent a once in a lifetime opportunity and help bring their dreams to life,” said Ludacris, in a statement.
Best.Cover.Ever. will air exclusively on the Best.Cover.Ever YouTube channel.
