A+E Networks is partnering with Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment and HomeAway on a new television series focused on American families who own vacation rental homes.
Throughout Vacation Rental Potential, viewers are shown ten popular vacation destinations across the U.S. At each destination, host Holly Baker shows buyers several properties on the market with vacation rental potential. Real estate expert Baker (pictured) works with the buyers to weigh price, location and design preferences to find their dream property.
At the conclusion of each episode, the new vacation home owners begin renting their property to travelers on HomeAway.com, which means viewers have the opportunity to stay in the properties featured on the show.
“We are always looking for ways to work in innovative ways with our partners,” said Jim Hoffman, SVP, program partnerships and strategic initiatives, A+E Networks, in a statement. “Curating content that can both appeal to viewers and help marketers achieve their goals is what we are striving for. We have high hopes for this series, which seems perfectly timed considering the trends we are seeing in the vacation space.”
“We’ve wanted to create a show about vacation rentals because of the industry’s meteoric growth in popularity in recent years,” added Michael Winter, SVP of programming with Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment, in a statement. “Vacation Rental Potential combines the loves of house hunting and vacation daydreaming with the added element of viewers actually being able rent the homes featured on the show for their next family getaway. It shows viewers how to make their dreams in life come true.”
Vacation Rental Potential premieres Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. EST/PST on A&E Network.
