Production executive Kirk Anderson has joined Endemol Shine North America subsidiary Authentic Entertainment as senior VP of production and operations.
In the new role, Anderson will work closely alongside Authentic’s CEO Lauren Lexton and Jeffrey Weaver, EVP of production and content, to oversee the production and operations efforts for the Trading Spaces producer.
Most recently, Anderson was VP of unscripted productions with parent company Endemol Shine North America. Over that two-year period, he oversaw the delivery of such series as CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer and Restaurant Startup, Bravo’s Tabatha Takes Over and GSN’s Minute To Win It.
Anderson originally joined Shine America in 2012 as executive director of production.
Prior to Endemol Shine, Anderson worked as a producer on such series as ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor, NBC’s The Apprentice, TBS’s The Real Gilligan’s Island, ESPN’s The Contender and WeTV’s Bridezillas.
“Not only does Kirk have the knowledge and insight to help pave the way into the future, but his experience with Endemol Shine enables us to take advantage of the resources our parent company has to offer, while still maintaining our ‘authentic’ independence,” said Lexton, in a statement. “Between traditional long-form series and short-form, branded, and multi-platform content, Kirk will help insure that we remain efficient and dependable, while still allowing for the game-changing content that helped to build the company into what it is today.”
Founded in 2000, the Burbank, California-based prodco produces some of cable TV’s most popular shows, including Ace of Cakes, Flipping Out!, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Toddlers & Tiaras, Knife Fight, and Auction Kings. In 2010, Authentic joined the Endemol Shine Group banner.
