Paramount Network is teaming with Network Entertainment on a doc that will cover the life and tragic death of actor Paul Walker.
Directed by Adrian Buitenhuis, I Am Paul Walker will feature interviews with some of Walker’s cast-mates and close friends. It will explore Walker’s filmmaking career and showcase his passion for the world’s oceans and marine life, as well as his efforts to help rebuild Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake.
Walker rose to fame in the 1990s after starring in hits such as Varsity Blues, She’s All That and Pleasantville. He was also featured in the blockbuster Fast and the Furious franchise.
Walker died in November 2013 in a car accident. At the time, the actor was filming Furious 7.
Network Entertainment is the prodco behind a series of docs featuring prolific figures, including I Am Heath Ledger, I Am JFK Jr., I Am Chris Farley and I Am Steve McQueen.
Paramount Network’s Jon Slusser and Jaimee Kosanke will serve as executive producers.
