UK pubcaster BBC has commissioned Simon Cowell‘s Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia UK’s prodco Thames TV to produce the dance talent series The Greatest Dancer.
The 8 x 60-minute entertainment series will feature talent from around the world – from a variety of dance styles – who compete against one another in the hopes of being named the UK’s greatest dancer.
The Greatest Dancer will be executive produced by Syco Entertainment’s Nigel Hall, global head of television, and Amelia Brown, managing director of Thames.
The series has been commissioned by Charlotte Moore, BBCÂ director of content, and Kate Phillips, controller of entertainment commissioning. The commissioning editor for the BBC is Kalpna Patel-Knight.
