NBC Entertainment programming executive Sahara Bushue has been promoted to senior vice president of alternative programming.

Bushue currently oversees America’s Got Talent, World of Dance, Ellen’s Game of Games, and the Neil Patrick Harris-hosted Genius Junior.

Her responsibilities for each series include shepherding the creative process from beginning to final delivery. She also oversees a host of duties including formatting, budgeting, staffing, casting, production and post-production while working with scheduling, marketing, public relations, ad sales, legal, business affairs, research and program standards.

Bushue is also tasked with finding new ideas for development, scouting new talent and working with executive producers, including Jennifer Lopez, Simon Cowell, Neil Patrick Harris and Ellen DeGeneres.

Bushue joined NBC through the Page Program in 2008 before moving into a coordinator position in the alternative department. Three years later, she was upped to manager before being named vice president in 2017.

Previous series Bushue was also responsible for include The Sing-Off, Hollywood Game Night and Little Big Shots.
