Eliza Licht, vice president of content strategy and engagement for PBS indie doc strand ‘POV’ is exiting this June after a 17-year tenure.
Licht joined ‘POV’ producer American Documentary in 2001 as the community engagement director, before working her way up to her current executive position. During her tenure, she has overseen the community engagement, communication and program strategies at ‘POV’, shepherding the organization from its early days of broadband to today’s digital era.
As VP of content strategy and engagement, Licht works with public television stations, educators and community groups to provide community screenings of the doc strand’s films and to develop and distribute accompanying educational materials to educators across the country.
According to a release from POV, the result of Licht’s efforts have resulted in the ‘POV’ Community Network expanding to more than 10,000 users and community organizers who host 800-plus screenings annually.
Applications for her position will open in the following weeks on the ‘POV’ jobs page.
