American media conglomerate Meredith Corporation has rebranded Time Inc. Productions, its in-house television production arm, as Four M Studios.
The overhauled production studio will have continued access to Meredith’s portfolio of brands in order to create original long-form television formats and series independent of any Meredith brand across the food, home, entertainment and lifestyle spaces.
Four M Studios will continue to distribute its content through its international distribution arm.
Four M Studios, as Time Inc. Productions, has previously brought projects to such linear and digital networks as ABC, A&E, Apple Worldwide Video, Paramount Network, Investigation Discovery and Netflix.
Most recently, the production house has pushed unscripted content to Apple via Home; a 10 x 60-minute docuseries offering an inside look at the world’s most extraordinary homes; ABC via The Story of the Royals, a four-hour primetime documentary on the British royal family; and Investigation Discovery, who earlier today unveiled People Magazine Investigates: Cults and People Magazine Investigates: Crimes of Fashion.
“We evolved quickly and successfully in just over two years by leveraging our trusted iconic brands, promotional scale and super-serving creative worlds that consumers and networks are drawn to,” said Bruce Gersh, president of People, Entertainment Weekly and People en Espanol, and head of Four M Studios, in a statement. “We develop and produce award winning, high quality, compelling long-form television content. Four M Studios has partnered with some of the best storytellers and is primed to continue to capitalize on this momentum.”
