Banjay Group-owned Bunim/Murray Productions has entered into a partnership with Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson and his brand management company West2East Empire.
As part of the agreement, the two organizations will look to develop and produce unscripted programming for various platforms. Wilson will also executive produce a U.S. version of Banjay Group’s French celebrity adventure format L’aventure Robinson, which airs on France’s TF1 in its original version.
The format sees two stars stranded on a desert island for five days and was the best performing show on the night of its premiere, attracting 30% more viewers than the slot average.
Wilson is currently starting his seventh season serving as the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Outside of football, he has launched a number of ventures including the Good Man Brand, a men’s apparel line; Juice Press, a juice and health food outlet; and TraceMe, a mobile social media platform that connects fans to celebrities and sports figures.
