Ben Greenberg has been named director of digital content at PBS’s documentary strand ‘American Experience’.
Greenberg is tasked with managing a workforce of content producers and creative contributors, as well as overseeing the creation of all digital-first content, from video shorts to new forms of visual storytelling.
Greenberg took up the role from Lauren Prestileo who stepped down to explore other opportunities after two years in the role.
The executive joins ‘American Experience’ from Management Sciences for Health, a multinational NGO where he held the position of senior manager of digital communications, creating and directing digital content creation.
Elsewhere, Greenberg’s freelance investigative reporting has appeared in NPR’s Code Switch blog and USA Today.
The journalist also co-founded the Center for Investigative Reporting’s Civil Rights Cold Case Project, which brings together investigative reporting, documentary filmmaking and multimedia to reveal the truths behind numerous race-motivated murders.
