The Discovery-owned OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has unveiled four unscripted series focused on relationships and marriage to join the network’s successful Saturday night lineup.
Chad Loves Michelle, from Relevé Entertainment and InventTV, will follow Grammy-winning singer and Destiny’s Child alum Michelle Williams (pictured right) and sports chaplain Chad Johnson (left) as they prepare to exchange vows.
The two have been a couple for just a year, in which they haven’t lived together. The series will see them in pre-marital counseling and moving in together in LA — in the same house but separate beds, as they plan to consummate their relationship only after marriage.
Chad Loves Michelle premieres Nov. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
Dating series Ready to Love, from Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment, follows the dating lives of Black men and women in their 30s and 40s as they look for lasting love and authentic relationships.
Hosted by Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, the series is executive produced by Will Packer and Kelly Smith for Will Packer Media, Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler for Lighthearted and Anthony Sylvester.
Ready to Love will have a two-night premiere Oct. 23 and 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
Bunim/Murray Productions’ Family or Fiancé follows engaged couples whose families have expressed concerns about their impending marriages.
The series brings the couples and families together to live under one roof, completing tasks designed to help them bond and unpack their differences.
Family or Fiancé premieres in 2019 on OWN.
Rocket City Revival (w/t), produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment for ITV America, brings together three high-powered African-American couples as they return to their hometown of Huntsville, Alabama — nicknamed “Rocket City” as the home of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center — where they plan to revitalize the region through their joint real estate venture, while maintaining their longstanding friendships and social standing.
Carlos King, Gil Lopez and Andrew Hoagland executive produce.
Rocket City Revival premieres in 2019 on OWN.
