Endemol Shine North America has elevated award-winning producer and TV exec Georgie Hurford-Jones to the newly created position of senior vice president, unscripted original series & specials.
With the studio extending her contract, Hurford-Jones continues to oversee Endemol’s MasterChef franchise, where she serves as executive producer on both MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, both of which air on Fox.
Furthermore, the exec is leading production on the studio’s upcoming series Family Food Fight for ABC and will oversee all of the company’s upcoming unscripted specials.
Hurford-Jones, who was formerly SVP of unscripted programming, reports into Endemol Shine North America’s DJ Nurre, EVP of unscripted original programming. Hurford-Jones has been with Endemol Shine North America since June 2015.
Prior to joining Endemol Shine, Hurford-Jones served as an executive producer and oversaw NBC’s reality competition series America’s Got Talent after launching ITV’s BAFTA award-winning Britain’s Got Talent while serving as SVP of Simon Cowell’s Syco TV.
Hurford-Jones was also formerly at the helm of ITV’s award-winning UK series Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Ant & Dec’s Gameshow Marathon.
