Zeppotron, part of Endemol Shine Group UK, has launched a new label focused on comedic fact-ent formats, entertainment shows and reality series.
The studio, dubbed Definitely, will see Rachel Arnold (pictured), currently creative director at BBC Studios Entertainment, taking up the post as creative director. She will report into Zeppotron managing directors Ruth Phillips and Peter Holmes, and will work closely with Debra Blenkinsop, director of operations.
Prior to joining BBC Studios, Arnold co-created and launched ITV Studios’ acclaimed dating reality series Love Island; was the executive producer behind I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and Hell’s Kitchen; and was the creative director at indie Whizz Kid.
Also joining Definitely is Jon Green, who takes up the position of head of development. Most recently he served as head of development at Spun Gold TV and prior to that was a development executive at BBC Studios.
Arnold and Green have collaborated previously while at BBC Studios, where the duo launched a range of formats including BBC3′s Junior Doctors: Blood Sweat and Tears, BBC1′s Home Away From Home and BBC3′s Don’t Drop the Baby.
Definitely will expand on Zeppotron’s comedic portfolio, which includes BBC1′s Would I Lie to You?, Channel 4′s 8 Out of 10 Cats and BBC2′s The Mash Report.
