Global entertainment company The Story Lab has named Fotini Paraskakis, formerly Endemol Shine Asia MD, as executive vice president of entertainment with immediate effect.
With over 20 years of experience in the international content industry, Paraskakis will be tasked with expanding the company’s non-scripted and scripted television slate through collaborations with key producers, platforms and broadcasters, across all territories.
Based in the company’s London offices, Paraskakis will report into Michael Iskas, president of The Story Lab Global.
Most recently, Paraskakis served as managing director of Endemol Shine Asia since February 2013. During her tenure, she had been involved in more than 350 content deals across 16 territories, including deals for MasterChef, Big Brother, Deal or No Deal and Fear Factor. Paraskakis departed the Asian division of Endemol Shine Group following structural changes made to the regional office in November 2017.
Prior to Endemol Shine, Paraskakis worked with and managed projects for producers and broadcasters across Asia and the UK, including FremantleMedia (since renamed Fremantle), MTV, Disney, BBC, ESPN and Channel 4.
“As The Story Lab’s entertainment offering gains momentum in multiple global territories, it is vital to keep attracting passionate, experienced and internationally-minded talent to fuel such growth,” said Iskas in a statement.
