Directed by Sam Blair, Make Us Dream offers a portrait of the iconic Liverpool F.C. footballer Steven Gerrard (pictured), on and off the pitch.
Gerrard joined the Liverpool F.C. Academy at the age of 8 and went on to win two FA Cups, three League Cups, one UEFA Cup, one FA Community Shield, one UEFA Super Cup and one UEFA Champions League title. He was named in the PFA Team of the Year a record eight times. He is currently the manager for Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
The doc was produced by Gay-Rees for Box to Box Films, with distribution handled by Lorton Distribution.
It will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide on Nov. 15, along with a live-on-stage interview with Gerrard, and then stream globally on Prime shortly after the theatrical release.
“Make Us Dream is an ambitious, cinematic film that reaches beyond sport,” said Blair in a statement. “It tells a story that is both deeply personal and reflective of a wider story of our times. I’m very happy to be working with Amazon to give it a platform both in cinemas and Prime Video to reach as wide an audience as possible.”
