Richard Thomson, the long-time managing director of Warner Bros.-owned Wall to Wall, has departed the London-headquartered production company, realscreen has confirmed.
There is no word on a successor to the post at present.
Thompson joined Wall to Wall in 2011 from Endemol Shine-owned UK producer Tiger Aspect where he served as director of operations.
Prior to his stint at Tiger Aspect, Thomson was at Endemol UK for nearly eight years, first serving as head of production and then as operations director of digital media in May 2008.
Wall to Wall’s work spans drama, factual and entertainment. The company’s non-scripted output includes such projects as Who Do You Think You Are? and five seasons of The Voice UK for the BBC; and ITV’s Little Big Shots.
U.S. titles include Netflix’s Dope; Drugs, Inc. and Underworld Inc. for National Geographic; and First Peoples for PBS. Wall to Wall’s 2008 documentary Man on Wire from director James Marsh garnered the company its first Academy Award.
