J.D. Roth, executive producer behind such series as The Biggest Loser, Beauty and the Geek and Bar Rescue, joins Jimmy Fox for the latest edition of the Unscripted and Unprepared podcast, presented in partnership with realscreen and now available via iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play and Spotify.

Roth is currently co-founder and CEO of GoodStory Entertainment, the recently established unscripted content studio founded with Scooter Braun and with Adam Greener, formerly with 3 Ball Entertainment and Maverick Television, as co-CEO. Previously, Roth co-founded 3 Ball Entertainment with Todd Nelson.

In his chat with Jimmy Fox, Roth reveals the origins behind some of his most successful series, his secrets of pitch preparation, and the path to forming GoodStory.

Unscripted and Unprepared began in late June 2016 and has featured interviews with Arthur Smith; Brent Montgomery, Bob Boden, Jonathan Murray, Thom Beers, Epix’s Rachel Brill, History’s Eli Lehrer, Propagate Content’s Ben Silverman, ID’s Jane Latman, ITV America’s David Eilenberg, and Showtime’s Vinnie Malhotra, among many others.

Fox’s production credits with Main Event Media include CNN’s United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell and Amazon’s Inside Jokes.
