Discovery-owned Cooking Channel is prepping a show with chef and food truck enthusiast Brad Miller as he journeys to find the latest and greatest food trucks across the U.S.
In each episode of the 6 x 30-minute Food Truck Nation, produced by MAK Pictures, Miller (pictured left) will visit three trucks and the chefs behind the wheel that are pushing boundaries with their food while highlighting their unique cuisine and cultural influences.
In the premiere episode, Miller heads to South Central Los Angeles where he meets the team behind Billionaire Burger Boyz, a food truck offering classic pairings of burgers and fries, and their unique take on the burger with their Hello Burger, an over-sized beef patty stuffed with Cajun grilled shrimp.
Miller then moves onto St. Paul, Minnesota, where he meets with chef Aaron Hargrave, the owner of Blue Fire Pizza, who turned his truck into a wood-fired oven that serves up Neapolitan-style pizzas.
Finally, Miller meets up with a husband and wife team in Durham, North Carolina, who create Belgian waffles out of their food truck, Belgian Waffle Crafters.
Other episodes include stops in California where Miller checks out a food truck serving up funnel cakes; and in Minneapolis, he meets Billy Tserenbat, a sushi master who has turned his truck named Bibuta into a sushi bar.
Food Truck Nation premieres Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Cooking Channel.
