In this week’s Renewed & Returning round-up, new seasons are on the way for series on VH1, TLC, HGTV and MTV.

First up, the crew at 9Mag tattoo shop in Chicago will return to VH1 on Black Ink Crew: Chicago starting Jan. 2 at 9 p.m ET/PT.

This season sees the return of familiar faces and emerging artists as the crew tires to salvage the true identity of 9Mag, Ryan Henry’s tattoo shop. Meanwhile, Henry reclaims his spot as shop boss and Chicago’s tattoo king, while the other artists face a variety of familial and work-related challenges. The series is produced by Big Fish Entertainment.

Health-focused series My 600-lb Life and Family By The Ton, meanwhile, will return to Discovery-owned lifestyle network TLC in the New Year.

Produced by Megalomedia, My 600-lb Life follows the harrowing personal stories of people who are hoping to overcome obesity in order to live better lives with the help of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan. The renewed series airs Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Then, at at 10 p.m. ET/PT, TLC’s Family By The Ton will take viewers into the office of Dr. Charles Procter Jr., where he guides two families in their struggles to overcome obesity. This season will feature the King family and will catch up with the Anderson’s from last season to find out if each family will either help support one another or become their biggest enablers. Family By The Ton is produced by Crazy Leg Productions for TLC.

Home reno duo Ben and Erin Napier will return to lifestyle net HGTV this January to transform rundown houses in season three of RTR Media’s Home Town.

Beginning Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the husband-wife duo will use their combined artistic vision and passion for restoration to turn dilapidated properties in Laurel, Mississippi into sparkling homes. In each episode, the couple show clients two outdated houses they could transform within their budget. To kick off a new season, Ben and Erin find a large home for a busy family of five and add personal touches throughout, including Ben’s custom wooden bed and Erin’s hand-thrown pottery bowl that matches the kitchen’s Spanish tile. As the season progresses, the couple repairs rough exteriors while saving original architectural elements.

Viacom-owned youth net MTV is once again heading to the shores of New Jersey when a third season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation (pictured) premieres in Summer 2019.

Produced by SallyAnn Salsano’s 495 Productions, Jersey Shore Family Vacation features the original cast of Jersey Shore, which premiered in 2009 and returned earlier this year. The housemates include Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
