Global content creator Endemol Shine Group’s culinary competition format Family Food Fight is heading to Portugal.

The 13 x 90-minute series will be produced by Endemol Shine Iberia for Portuguese pubcaster RTP. The adaption will be known locally as Famílias Frente a Frente and will bow later this month.

Portugal is the fifth territory to pick up the cookery program.

Family Food Fight spotlights families from across the country as they go head-to-head in the kitchen where they are tasked with cooking up family recipes, passed down from generation to generation, and varied cuisines for a panel of judges. Despite the contestants delicious dishes, only one family can claim the coveted title and take home a cash prize.

Created by Endemol Shine Australia, Family Food Fight is an original format developed with Aussie net Channel Nine, where it has already aired a second season. U.S. broadcaster ABC has also picked up the cooking culinary competition series with Endemol Shine North America set to produce a version that will premiere later this year.
