Endemol Shine UK subsidiary Remarkable Television has bolstered its senior team with the hiring of former Cat Lawson, former creative director of Studio Lambert’s entertainment label Glitterbox.
Lawson is joining the Remarkable team as creative director with responsibility for the company’s entertainment and factual slate. She reports into joint managing directors James Fox and Kitty Walshe.
Prior to Glitterbox, Lawson served as head of entertainment at Twofour where she executive produced a range of entertainment programming, including This Time Next Year and The Jump. As a series producer, Lawson has previously worked on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Dancing on Ice and Love Island. Her freelance credits include Celebrity Big Brother, Million Pound Drop Live, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and The X Factor.
Elsewhere, Richard Hague and Tamara Gilder, currently head of entertainment and executive producer, respectively, are being elevated to creative directors. The duo will work alongside Lawson to manage returning entertainment series and bringing new titles to the company’s entertainment slate.
Remarkable creative director Dom Waugh, meanwhile, has been promoted to the role of director of content. With the new title, he will be responsible for overseeing new entertainment and fact-ent formats for the UK and the international marketplace while also fostering the indie’s SVOD strategy and slate.
Remarkable’s current factual slate includes All Together Now, House of Games, Animal Park, and Your Home Made Perfect, the upcoming VR interior make-over series for BBC2 .
