UK indie television content distributor Cineflix Rights has fortified its acquisitions team with the appointment of Richard Life to the newly-created role of head of acquisitions.
Based in London, Life will spearhead acquisitions for Cineflix Rights as the company continues its strategy of increasing content streams via producer partnerships, development, first-look deals, and copros. Life will report to Chris Bonney, CEO Rights, Cineflix Media.
Additionally, Life will oversee the global acquisitions team which is comprised of Kate Laffey, VP, acquisitions; Catherine McCormick, manager, acquisitions; and Giuliana Benvenuto, manager, acquisitions, North America.
Life previously held the roles of head of acquisitions and coproductions at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, and head of programming at Channel 4 International.
Cineflix Rights is further bolstering its acquisition team as it looks to recruit a vice president of acquisitions for North America.
“Richard brings a wealth of commercial and creative experience to the company. Building up our international acquisitions team will position us for further growth in our unscripted and scripted portfolios,” said Bonney in a statement.
