Global media consultancy K7 Media has expanded its senior team by appointing Girts Licis to the newly created role of head of strategy.
In his new position, Licis will be tasked with providing strategic business analysis to the consultancy’s portfolio of international clients and oversee K7′s “ongoing evolution from suppliers of information, to providers of insight,” according to the firm.
Within the television industry, Licis has previously worked across development, production and acquisitions of scripted and unscripted programming. Before joining K7 Media, Licis was head of CEE content development and formats at Modern Times Group.
Licis began his career in Latvian television, before going on to establish and running his own production company, specializing in executive producing local versions of international formats. His on-screen stints include hosting the Latvian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? from 2007 to 2008.
