Discovery Channel is prepping a new Moonshiners spin-off series with former illegal moonshine operator Tim Smith as he races against time to restore struggling distilleries.

Produced by New York-based unscripted prodco Magilla Entertainment, Moonshiners: Whiskey Business follows Smith, who is joined by a team of whiskey experts, as they set out to restore distilleries and preserve the American tradition of handmade liquor. The distilleries that Smith and his team are looking to help include Broad Branch Distillery, Old Nick Williams Farm & Distillery, Three Brothers Distillery and Bondurant Brothers Distillery.

Executive producers for Magilla Entertainment are Matthew Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson, Jason Fox and Kevin Allgood, with Ron Cornwall serving as co-executive producer. For Discovery Channel, Bill Howard is executive producer, and Paola Espinosa is associate producer.

Moonshiners: Whiskey Business premieres March 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Channel.
