Four M Studios, the production arm of American media and publishing conglomerate Meredith Corporation, has appointed former Lucky 8 TV executive Bruce Robertson as its head of creative strategy and development.
In the role, Robertson will oversee Four M’s production group in New York and Los Angeles and will manage the company’s creative strategy and development slate. He is additionally tasked with developing original series from Meredith’s portfolio of entertainment and lifestyle brands, including People, Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, Better Homes & Gardens, Shape and Allrecipes, among others.
Robertson, who began consulting with Four M Studios in June and is based in LA, will report directly to Bruce Gersh, president of People, Entertainment Weekly, People en Espanol and Four M Studios.
Prior to joining Four M, Robertson served as EVP of creative strategy for Lucky 8 TV. There, he oversaw the studio’s non-scripted development and creative strategy while managing the company’s development team in New York and expanding its creative team in LA.
He was previously EVP of creative strategy at ITV Studios America where he oversaw development and expanded creative direction for unscripted programming. During his tenure there, ITVSA’s unscripted development slate grew exponentially and in a wider range of genres, with series launched including #RichKids of Beverly Hills for E!, Cesar 911 for Nat Geo Wild and Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris for NBC.

Productions, has most recently revealed that it will dig into the iconic LIFE archives, also part of Meredith’s portfolio, to produce LIFE for Kids, which is developed and created in partnership with Imagine Kids & Family.
