Welsh factual entertainment prodco Boomerang is producing the new 10-part series Extreme Chocolate Makers, premiering on Channel 4 this spring.

Following on the success of Extreme Cake Makers, the series traces an elite group of chocolatiers as they work to produce the world’s most breath-taking chocolate creations.

These include a 3D chocolate map of Croatia, commissioned by the Croatian Embassy; a chocolate record player complete with chocolate headphones, microphone and record collection; a 4.5-foot Big Ben of the Palace of Westminster in London; and exact replicas of an endangered dung beetle, made for an Oxford entomologist.

Extreme Chocolate Makers, narrated by Rufus Hound, is executive produced by Boomerang director of programs Sam Grace. Maddi Knibbs serves as series producer.

“Following the success of Extreme Cake Makers we know there is a huge appetite and passion out there for creations that are truly jaw-dropping and spectacular from this elite group of chocolatiers,” said Grace in a statement.

Extreme Cake Makers also returns to C4 for its fourth season this spring.
