London-based indie Flicker Productions has appointed Charlotte Nicholls as its new head of specialist factual.
In her new role, Nicholls (pictured, left) will spearhead Flicker’s push into the specialist factual programming market in both the UK and U.S.
Nicholls joins Flicker from Darlow Smithson Productions (DSP) where she served as head of development. During her tenure with the television production company, Nicholls’ commissions included Made In Great Britain for BBC2, Interior Design Masters for Netflix, The Trial Of Lady Jane Grey for BBC4, The Yorkshire Steam Railway for Channel 5, and an upcoming factual series for the BBC.
Prior to DSP, Nicholls served as head of development at Keo Films where she developed specialist factual, documentaries and features including the BAFTA-winning Exodus.
Elsewhere, Flicker’s development producer Chloe Symonds (pictured, right) has been promoted to head of development.
Symonds recently scored commissions with UK pubcaster Channel 4 for Kathy Burke All Woman and Thai Airport for Viacom-owned broadcaster Channel 5.
