A documentary about the long-running, Brooklyn-based queer performance art collective Switch n’ Play will have its world premiere at Toronto’s Inside Out Film Festival.
A Night at Switch n’ Play (pictured) chronicles one night at Brooklyn’s eponymous queer bar, featuring a series of subversive drag and burlesque shows. The one hour and 10-minute film follows the performers and the community that forms in the famous safe and inclusive performance space.
The film is produced by Sour Peach Films and Grit & Glitter Productions. Cody Stickels directs, with Chelsea Moore producing.
The Inside Out Film Festival is an LGBTQ film festival. It runs May 23 to June 2 in Toronto.
A Night at Switch n’ Play premieres June 1 at 2:30 p.m. at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
