Viacom-owned youth-skewing cable net MTV International has commissioned a new series reuniting the cast of MTV’s Geordie Shore.
Geordie Shore (pictured) premiered in 2011 as the UK version of Jersey Shore.
Geordie More (working title) will follow former cast members including Marnie Simpson, Gary Beadle, Holly Hagan and Aaron Chalmers in their daily lives after the show, with each episode focusing in on one former cast member.
The 6 x 44-minute series has begun filming and is produced by Lime Pictures. Huw Slipper is executive producer for Lime.
“Geordie Shore exploded onto our screens eight years ago and has introduced the world to some incredible personalities. We’re really excited to reunite viewers with some of the most influential and most loved cast members,” said Orr, in a statement. “We can’t wait to show how life has changed for this lot since leaving the Geordie house and catch up with them as they continue to navigate their way into adulthood.”
Geordie More will air later this year across MTV’s network of international channels and digital platforms in 180 countries.
