Discovery-owned true crime and mystery network Investigation Discovery (ID) is set to revisit the “Jennings 8″ murders in the new four-part special Death in the Bayou: The Jennings 8.

Between 2005 and 2009, eight women were found dead in and around the town of Jennings, Louisiana. While the women all died under different circumstances, they were conspicuously linked to one another, some having been last seen with the same people in their final hours. No one was ever charged for their murders, and few suspects ever materialized, casting a dark shadow on the community to this day.

The four-hour Death in the Bayou follows victim Whitnei Dubois’s family on the quest for answers amid allegations of a cover-up.

The special is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) for ID.  Liz Massie is executive producer for ID. Jocelyn Hamilton and Toby Dormer executive produce for eOne.

It will premiere June 15 and 16, airing from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. ET/PT on ID both days.
